about

The third full length journey recounting the tales of adventure and woe the lone sentinel has seen on his journey so far...
Each song was written with a story in mind, but please feel free to let your mind wander and create your own world of imagination to these humble stories told through magic and sound

Welcome to the Realm of Admantia, the home of the Lone Sentinel

The stories are as follows....

Throne of Might: Walking along a road covered in bones the lone sentinel stumbles upon a dreadful looking barbaric coliseum of some sorts. As he draws closer over the sound of crunching bones beneath his armored heels he begins to hear the siren song of battle, the roar of a crowd. As he draws in he sees strange men and women from the world over all cheering while powerful warriors duel in front of an empty throne. He inquires to the savage looking guard nearest to him, "What ever could this be?" The Guard responds "This is the greatest test of strength a warrior can hope to enter in the entire world! A fight to the death and the victor is the only one of the lot left standing to claim....THE THRONE OF MIGHT!"

Sorcerer's Curse: After witnessing the feats of strength of those brave warriors and getting to see the strongest claim the throne the lone sentinel sets out with a new spark of adventure in his heart, maybe years down the line he will be strong enough to challenge the throne. As he walks along daydreaming he finds himself feeling a bit strange and the forest around him seeming to grow darker. Confused he looks up and sees a tall spire just barely still standing. From the top he can make out a figure, upon straining his ears he begins to hear the muffled chants of a wizard casting an incantation! He cant cover his ears fast enough and finds himself trapped in the wizard's spell "Why have you wandered into my lands and disturb my tower? For that you will pay with your life!" the Sorcerer exclaimed. The lone sentinel manages to shake the wizards curse and make a break for the tree line as fast as his legs can carry him, just narrowly escaping certain death.

The Pained Solitude of the Wandering Stone Golem: His heart still calming down from escaping the evil wizard he starts upon a winding cobblestone path that he believes will take him closer to his current destination. Upon coming further into the woods he notices a slowly lumbering stone golem covered in moss, fungus, and birds nest's as if he's been in this forest for a century or more untouched. The golem seems unbothered by the presence of the Lone Sentinel and upon realizing this the lone sentinel decides to get a little closer. "Why do you not attack me? Is this not the domain you were created it protect?" asks the lone sentinel. "mmmmmmmwhy yes it is little one" it bellows powerfully yet restrained and slow, "I was created many years ago to protect the home of the most beautiful witch who has ever existed, i did my duty proudly and we enjoyed many wonderful summer days basking in the glory of the sun and the forest together.....those days have long passed and now these memories only serve to haunt me in a way, for she has long been deceased, and I, being immortal , spend my days making sure no one disturbs her eternal slumber...." and with that the golem slowly turned and walked away. The lone sentinel could see the pain in it's eyes knowing he has never felt a sorrow quite like that one, and he hopes he never will.

Tavernsong: Along his journey the lone sentinel discovers a lone tavern in the mountains, the road has been long and the wind has been cold, he decides to stop in for a brew and some company amongst the warmth of the fireside, upon opening the door he can hear a rush of laughter, drinking, feasting and merrymaking. For a large portion of commanders from a wandering mercenary band has stopped in this tavern before making for war in the morning, upon joining them for food and drink the hired swords weave him a tale of comradery and brotherhood the likes of which he had never heard of amongst a mercenary band. This seemed less like a group of misfits thieves and blood thirsty fools but more of a group of men, women, and dwarves that have no other family or value to their name, so they decided to band together and create one. Despite knowing they were setting out for brutal combat and a likely death these warriors drank and sung their hearts out as if they didn't have a care in the world. The lone sentinel decides to stay by the warmth of their fire at least for tonight.

Battlesorrow: In the wake of a bloody battle the mercenary band stands victorious in their quest for glory, but not without a grievous loss of their comrades in arms, the sorrow that emanated from their cries of woe was so heavy it could crush boulders.... This is the life of the hired sword.

Funeral for a Friend: Befriending one of the greatest commanders in the mercenary army the lone sentinel was asked to be a part of his funeral, an ancient burial rite of placing the body in a boat and setting it ablaze. The ship is then pushed out to sea one final time to carry the dead to Valhalla, a burial only fit for the strongest and bravest of warriors.

A Place I Once Knew: Judging by the map this seems to be the place the lone sentinel had been planning to reach but it looks vastly different then it did before. The village he once played in as a child was now nothing but ash and swamp land as if ravaged by war and the curse of evil druids set to overtake the land for the mad king.

Ancient Visions: Crushed by seeing his boyhood home fall to ruination the lone sentinel sets off aimlessly in search of his next quest, what can be the next course of action to help stop the mad king...he decides to set up camp as nightfall now descends upon the lands. He stops near a lone tree, and as he drifts off to sleep he is suddenly instilled with a powerful vision. As it over takes his sight he is taken to a vast and ancient forest, with trees so huge and wonderous he has never seen anything quite like them before in all his days. What can this mean? Is this a message from the ancient ones on how to stop the mad king? He needs to see a shaman to help him sort out the meaning of this dream.

*I could say thank you to those that inspired me to write this album but it would be far too long of a list. You all know what you mean to me and i love everyone whos helped me get this far dearly. The dungeon synth community has become a collective of some of my dearest friends, and all around the greatest people i have ever had the pleasure to meet. This album is an ode to you all, an ode to dungeon synth as a whole. I hope it can give to some of you even a fraction of what this genre has given to me.*
